The OS-tan for Windows XP Media Center Edition has several distinct designs due to the various versions of the OS released which are below:

  • XP ME-tan:
    • Cross between Windows XP and Windows ME, with a design based on the XP splash screen and similarities to ME-tan.
    • Often paired with ME-tan, emphasizing their similarities and differences.
    • Clumsy disposition, reflecting the issues that plagued XP MCE.

Associations

  • Moseko is portrayed as the younger sister of the XP sisters, including XP Pro-tan (Saseko).

  • Moseko's nickname comes from the Kana reading of MCE as "Mosoi," and "Moseko" from reading MCE as "Mose."
  • Due to higher hardware requirements, Moseko is often depicted with a larger body compared to XP Pro-tan (Saseko).
